春节可以说是我们中国人一年当中最重要的传统节日，我们在跟外国朋友聊天的时候免不了会被问到或自己想介绍我们的传统节日—春节的情况 ，那今天Mia就带大家了解下，用英文聊春节。

1. 什么是中国的春节?

春节Chinese New Year/Lunar New Year

春节是根据中国农历，庆祝新的一年开始的节日。整个春节的庆祝通常是从除夕一直延续到正月十五，也就是元宵节。

It’s the Chinese festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese Calendar. Observances take place from the evening preceding the first day of the year to the Lantern Festival, held on the 15th day of the year.

Chinese New Year is a major holiday in China and it has strongly influenced Lunar New Year celebrations of China’s neighboring cultures, including the Korean New Year, Vietnam. It is also celebrated worldwide in regions and countries with significant overseas Chines, including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand, etc.
