疫情蔓延，正是共担风雨时

新冠肺炎疫情近日来在其他国家的蔓延引发了各界的担忧。

韩国中央防疫对策本部通报，截至2月21日下午4时，韩国累计确诊新冠肺炎病例达204例。

为遏制疫情蔓延，韩国政府已指定确诊病例较多的大邱市、庆尚北道清道郡为传染病特别管理地区，采取特别防疫措施。

另据韩联社报道，确诊病例中有3例出现在军队，为防止疫情进一步在军队内扩散，韩国国防部已下令暂时禁止士兵休假外出。

South Korea Friday afternoon reported 48 more cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 204, the Korea Center for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) said.

The government has designated the southeastern cities of Daegu and Cheongdo as "special care zones" as a cluster of confirmed COVID-19 cases has been reported in the area in recent days. Since three confirmed cases were among the military personnel, South Korea defense ministry also has decided to restrict all enlistees from vacationing, according to the report of Yonhap.

据日本NHK电视台综合日本厚生劳动省和各地方政府的消息，截至2月20日23时，日本累计确诊新冠肺炎病例为728例。

Amid the ongoing fight against the novel coronavirus epidemic in China, neighboring Japan has witnessed a leap in COVID-19 cases. Yoichi Masuzoe, former Japanese minister of health, labor and welfare said that efforts were underway to contain COVID-19.

英国伦敦市长候选人肖恩·贝利2月20日在推特上提出了伦敦代替东京举办2020年奥运会的建议。

东京奥组委没有就贝利的表态置评，但在电子邮件中称奥组委正与国际奥委会合作对疫情采取必要举措。此前，东京奥组会已多次发表声明强调，疫情情况不会影响东京奥运会的日程安排。

Growing concerns over the possibility that the coronavirus outbreak might disrupt the 2020 Olympics in Japan led to another alternative, as London has volunteered to host the games, eight years after the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

"London can host the #Olympics in 2020," Shaun Bailey, London's mayoral candidate for the Conservative Party, said in a tweet Wednesday. The Tokyo 2020 organizing committee did not comment on Bailey's remarks. In an e-mailed statement, the committee assured it is taking the necessary steps over the coronavirus outbreak.

The Tokyo Olympic organizing committee and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) have repeatedly said over the last few weeks that they are following the advice of the World Health Organization (WHO) and that the games will go on.

还有微博网友提到：“‘山川异域，风月同天’，成为了这次疫情中中日友好的一段佳话。这是日本长屋王的一句偈语，那我们也回赠一句唐朝诗人贾岛在《送褚山人归日本》的诗句，‘岸遥生白发，波尽露青山’。”

The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Japan made a statement that China has sent a batch of nucleic acid testing kits to Japan's National Institute of Infectious Diseases, and "China is ready to continue to provide assistance to the Japanese side within its capacity."

面对疫情挑战，世卫组织总干事谭德塞曾反复强调，“我们不能彼此对抗，而是要相互团结，团结、团结、还是团结。”

目前，由世卫组织牵头的国际专家组正在中国开展实地工作，与中国同行共同研究病毒的传染性以及中国所采取的措施的作用。

国际专家组汇聚了来自日本、韩国、新加坡、俄罗斯、美国等国的顶尖专家，研究方向包括流行病学、病毒学、临床管理、疫情控制和公共卫生领域。

Confronting the novel coronavirus outbreak, solidarity and cooperation between different countries are of vital importance in overcoming the epidemic.

According to Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), a WHO-led international team with experts from Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Russia, U.S., is now on the ground in China. And experts in the fields of epidemiology, virology, clinical management, outbreak control and public health will work with their Chinese counterparts to study the outbreak, including the severity of disease, how contagious the virus is and the impact of the measures that China has taken.
