美国T30法学院LLM是否接受“家庭版托福”？
最近，ETS取消了3、4、5三个月大陆地区的托福考试，并同时推出了“家庭版托福”（TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition）。我们最近也接到了很多同学的询问，大家关注的重点之一就是家庭版托福的认可度如何，这也成为了有没有必要去考家庭版托福的决定性因素。
这几天，我们发现，一些无良自媒体与培训机构鼓吹“全世界所有学校都接受家庭版托福”等谎言，更有甚者，鼓动学生用一些非常手段去考家庭版托福，制造恐慌与焦虑。对此，我们感到有责任厘清事实、以正视听。于是，我们第一时间向美国T30法学院的主流LLM项目一一发送了邮件，就这一问题做了确认。
以下内容均摘自美国法学院官方回复我们的邮件，其中没有回复的法学院，我们后续会持续跟进。

1. 耶鲁大学法学院
暂未回复。
2. 斯坦福大学法学院
接受。
Given the current circumstances, we will accept the TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition test.
3. 哈佛大学法学院
接受。
Yes, we will accept the home TOEFL from ETS.
4. 哥伦比亚大学法学院
应该会接受。
The Admissions Committee will likely accept the at-home TOEFL exam scores, as the exams will be proctored, and ETS seems to have taken steps to ensure that the exam experience is similar to that at a testing center.
5. 芝加哥大学法学院
目前不接受。
Unfortunately, at this time we are not accepting the at home TOEFL test.
6. 纽约大学法学院
目前不接受。
The Committee on Graduate Admissions is not accepting the at home exam at this time. Our office will be evaluating the situation constantly and will post any updates to application procedures on our website.

律政观点
从上述法学院给出的回复来看，有相当一部分学校明确表示不接受家庭版托福或者尚未做出决定。在表示接受家庭版托福的学校中，也不乏有学校表示它们prefer常规的线下托福。
虽然ETS官方宣传的是至今没有学校对家庭版托福say no，但值得强调的是：每个大学都有许多不同的学院，每个学院都有许多不同的项目，每个项目都有专人负责招生，就算一所大学的总体态度是接受，每个项目负责招生的人员都有自己不同的态度。更何况，在架构上，法学院，与医学院、商学院一样，在美国大学里就像是独立王国一般；而且法学院普遍对新鲜事物比较保守，因此其对待“家庭版托福”的态度与学校不一致也是正常的。这就像ETS之前推出的MyBest Scores拼分政策一样，许多法学院都不接受。（请见美国法学院对MyBest Scores的态度有变化了吗？给你看看第一手信息！；英国、香港、新加坡法学院接受托福拼分（MyBest Score）吗？）
关于常规托福何时恢复的问题，有好几所法学院在给我们的回复中提到：他们相信今年下半年会恢复的，这点和我们的预估也是一致的。对此，请大家不要焦虑，我们之前有撰文分析过：对于今年的申请季而言，下半年（甚至年底）考托福也是完全来得及的（请见留学考试接连取消！面对疫情，除了焦虑我们能做什么？）。
接下来聊聊可行性的问题。我们知道ETS并没有针对大陆地区开放家庭版托福，尽管可以通过特殊方式去考，但相关的网络连接是否稳定、网速是否足够，这些都存在不确定性。如果因为这些导致最后的考分不理想，进而影响自己备考常规版托福的心态，那就有些得不偿失了。
总之，我们建议：如果有条件，可以把家庭版托福作为备考常规托福的手段之一，或者作为一种Plan B，但不要把家庭版托福作为主攻的方向，常规托福的考位该抢的还得抢！
