Mr. Ning Deng has over 20 years of professional experience as a landscape architect, architect, and urban designer. His aesthetic sense and design sensitivity were cultivated under the artistic influence of his family, and his interest in landscape systems as frameworks for urban interventions also guides his work. His experience includes all types and sizes of projects with in both public and private development sectors. Since joining SWA he has led planning and design teams on a number of urban regeneration and environmental restoration projects in China. Mr. Ning Deng is a registered landscape architect in California and LEED Accredited Professional.

The trend on local style. In the past, a project’s style is almost the same as its designer’s style. While recent projects emphasis the uniqueness and creativity of the design, many successful projects consider, utilize, and exploit the unique local conditions.

Simplicity and realism. As the recent changes in the market condition, the design trends back to the essence. Emphasis the experience and functionality of the space, sustainability of the materials, and avoid excessive design.

Re-discovery of spatial legacy. Re-development of historical districts, traditional industrial sites gain much attention in the field. These developments re-interpret the historical space and provide new urban spaces and experiences.

张斗女士是一位有远见、有创造力的设计师。在过去二十年中，她领导和参与的项目曾多次获得各类设计奖项。张斗女士风格鲜明的设计手法不仅突破传统思维、为项目注入新鲜视角，而且与具体的场地环境紧密结合，彰显其独有的、未能被前人欣赏到的特性。她的建筑学背景和在总体规划方面数年的经验使她能够从宏大愿景到精致细节，从景观自身到整体环境进行全面思考。张斗女士一直在中国和国际上积极促进景观行业，她曾多次在国际和国内的学术会议中发表演讲、担任国际和国内规划设计竞赛评委.

在中国的特大城市中，绝大多数人都居住在高密度的集合式住宅里，个人的活动空间非常有限。当长期足不出户时，每个人都感受到不同程度的精神压力。这时，利用有限的资源进行精神疗愈便会显得尤为重要。无论是在阳台上养花种草、观赏附近的绿化，还是在小区花园里散步，都给人们提供了与自然对话的机会，可以使紧张的情绪得到极大缓解。

高密度的城市建设中需要加大户外绿色空间的比例，使建筑与其紧密融合，充分发挥自然的精神抚慰作用，帮助塑造平衡的社会环境。

Ms. Zhang is a visionary and creative designer. Her bold design approaches break through the conventional thinking and offer fresh angles to projects. Her design is closely tied with each specific site, and celebrates unique site features which were not always fully appreciated by people before. She has been the jury member for many international competitions of planning and design as well. She is also very active in promoting landscape profession in China, Ms. Zhang takes an active part in various academic activities.

In the super metropolitan in China, the majority of people live in high-density collective housing, and the space for personal activities is very limited. Being unable to go out for a long time has brought varying degrees of mental stress to everyone. It is especially important to use limited resources for spiritual healing. Growing flowers and grass on the balcony, and watching the greening of the community, in the process of dialogue with nature, people's nervous emotions can be greatly relieved.

In high-density urban construction, it is necessary to increase the proportion of outdoor green space, and make the building fully integrated with it, which fully utilizes the spiritual comfort of nature, and helps shape a balanced social environment

Dwight Law studied landscape architecture at California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo, California and has practiced Landscape Architecture in South East Asia & China for the last 24 years.

Originally established in 1999 in Singapore, Dwight moved DLC to Shanghai in 2002 to provide better design service to the growing number of clients and projects located in China. With a focus on Sustainable Development with aesthetics as a driver, DLC is known to explore the parity of public space and ecological function with a particular emphasis on corporate headquarters, plazas, cultural gardens, academic campuses, and urban-regeneration projects.

The realms of his landscape design works include topics of urban resilient landscape design, inclusive public space, green infrastructure, and community engagement projects.

The industry is facing a necessary transformation to gain more business opportunities, create job security and elevate design integrity in order to survive the current tough business environment.

China will apply the proper strategy called’Transformation&Opportunity’to improve the economy, gain confidence and rebuild a positive outlook within our industry.
