迎接农历新年，本地民众从1月4日起可以上网预定新钞
迎接即将到来的农历新年，新加坡本地公众将可以从1月4日起开始上网预定新钞和如新钞，并从1月11日起领取所预定的新钞。
新加坡金融管理局发表文告表示，60岁以上人士和残疾人士也可以从当天起，到银行换新钞。公众也可以从当天起，从星展银行的临时提款机和大华银行的指定提款机，提取新钞。
星展银行在全国45个地点的64台指定提款机，提取新钞和如新钞，数量比去年多了三台。为避免长龙，使用提款机提取新钞的时段也从18天增至21天。星展银行的电子红包，以及结合电子和实体红包、让客户派发印有QR码礼卡的QR红包，使用率都在也都在去年农历新年创下了新高，独立用户总数同比增长了74％。 其中，QR红包的使用量大幅增长，去年农历新年期间的交易金额达630万元，高于前年的250万元。
配合防疫安全管理措施，本地六家银行将推出网上预约系统，让倾向使用新钞的公众预定和领取新钞。其中，公众到星展、华侨、大华和渣打四家银行分行换新钞前，必须上网预约时段。马来亚银行和花旗银行也推出预约换新钞的服务。
当局也鼓励国人使用电子红包或如新钞，以减少到银行排队换新钞的人流量，同时也更环保。
