新加坡中华总商会（SCCCI）成立于1906年，是享有国际声誉的商业组织，也是新加坡华人商业社区的最高机构。建筑师通过对其总部进行翻新，尊重了其传统文化，并融入了现代设计元素，展现出了这个组织的历史底蕴。

Established in 1906, the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI) is an internationally renowned business organization and the apex body of the Chinese business community in Singapore. With such a rich history, it is only fitting that the SCCCI's headquarters undergo a renovation that honours its heritage while incorporating modern design elements.

The recent renovation by SCDA Architects successfully achieved this delicate balance. The new rear block, featuring a concave fritted glass façade, provides a striking contrast to the historic frontage of the building.

环绕新建筑的弯曲陶瓷釉点玻璃由铝型材鳍片分隔，创造了建筑的宣言性语言，在新加坡的天际线中脱颖而出。凹面形状还追随白天的不同时间反射和折射光线，产生动态视觉效果。

Wrapping around the new addition, the curved ceramic fritted glass, divided by extruded aluminium fins, creates an architectural statement that stands out in Singapore’s skyline. The concave shape also creates a dynamic visual effect as the glass reflects and refracts light throughout the day.

The grand lobby space of the Singapore Chinese Chambers of Commerce building is a testament to the architects' attention to detail and sensitivity to cultural symbolism. The renovation created a column-free lobby space by transferring the existing concrete columns, providing visitors with a more spacious and seamless area to enjoy. The lobby is designed according to Feng Shui principles, incorporating the metaphor of a "shower of wealth" to promote prosperity and success for businesses in Singapore.

大堂的天花板轮廓源于古代中国的金元宝，这是财富和繁荣的象征。金元宝的圆形形状在天花板设计中得到了体现，其由一系列从空间中心向外辐射的同心圆组成。灯具被精心地放置以创造出温馨宜人的氛围，材料和饰面的选择则反映了建筑的传统和宏伟。

The lobby's ceiling profile is derived from the ancient Chinese gold teal coin, a symbol of wealth and prosperity. The circular shape of the coin is reflected in the ceiling design, which features a series of concentric circles that radiate outwards from the centre of the space. The lighting fixtures are strategically placed to create a warm and welcoming ambience, while the choice of materials and finishes reflects the building's heritage and grandeur.
