新马周期性通勤开放申请，雇主或员工必须自行安排居家通知的住宿

随着新加坡马来西亚周期性通勤安排开放申请，在PCA下，雇主或员工必须自行安排居家通知的住宿。很多雇主和员工都在忙着物色合适的住宿安排，让获准回到新加坡工作的员工履行居家通知。

在新马周期性通勤安排下，雇主可以为持有人力部发出的工作证件的马国员工申请通过周期性通勤安排返新工作。员工抵达新加坡后，必须履行至少七天的居家通知。

根据新加坡SafeTravel Portal网站，政府不会再为这些员工安排履行居家通知的住宿，也就是说，他们无须支付2000元到政府指定的设施履行居家通知。

雇主或员工必须自行安排住宿，可以在酒店、公寓式酒店或是单人住宿（single-occupancy residences）进行隔离，但不能住在宿舍、旅社或是租来的房间。此外，在同一个申请下于同日抵新的员工也可以同住，最多四人。

员工也必须在居家通知期间，在指定日期到指定设施接受拭子检测，雇主在提出申请时必须先为员工支付200元的检测费用。

至于住宿和检测费用应该由谁承担，按照人力部的规定，如果员工当初是为了工作而出境，雇主必须在员工返新时承担全额费用，不可要求员工分担。

如果员工当初是为了私人理由离开新加坡，员工和雇主必须达成共识，返新后的相关费用应该由谁承担或是如何分担。

在申请开放后，不少本地的酒店和服务式公寓接到了很多中长期的住宿询问（14天到3个月间），来自于金融、科技、制造业和运输业。部分大型的企业甚至需要25-50间的房间，大多来自仓库和制造业，业主希望能找到靠近工厂的住宿安排。

在MOM网站下，可以查询到部分酒店和服务式公寓名单哦！（点击文末左下方“阅读原文”可以进入官方网站）。由于雇主必须等当局批准他们的申请，部分服务式公寓决定不向雇主收取因未被批准产生的取消费用。雇主也可以在公开市场进行租赁。
