明年起，武汉将实施外国人144小时过境免签政策
经国务院批准，自2019年1月1日起，武汉将实施外国人144小时过境免签政策，来自53个国家的人员，持有效国际旅行证件和144小时内确定日期、座位前往第三国（地区）联程客票，可以从武汉天河国际机场口岸免签入境，在武汉市免签停留144小时。
武汉市于2015年开始实施外国人72小时过境免签政策，为外国人来汉进行商务交流、旅游度假、中转乘机提供了极大的便利。
Starting from Jan 1, 2019, Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province will carry out the 144-hour visa-free transit policy for foreign visitors from 53 countries. With valid international travel documents and tickets to a third country within 144 hours, foreigners can enjoy the visa-free access to China from the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport and stay for up to144 hours in Wuhan.
The visa-free period will be increased from the 72 hours in 2015 to 144 hours next year, aiming to provide more convenience for foreigners to enter and leave Wuhan for short-term tourism or business visits.

How to calculating the 144 hours ?
144小时过境免签政策中外国人在华停留时间是从旅客入境次日起开始计算，可在武汉停留六天。
In accordance with the 144-hour visa-free transit policy, from 00:00 o'clock the following day after entry, he/she will be allowed to stay for six days in Wuhan without an entry visa.
办理144小时过境免签需要什么材料？
Documents for Application
- 符合规定范围国家的公民（目前包括53个国家）；
- 符合前往国家或地区入境条件；
- 持有能证明其国籍身份的有效国际旅行证件；
- 持有144小时内已确定日期及座位的从天河机场出境前往第三国或地区的联程机票或者相关证明。
- Valid passport issued by the following listed 53 countries；
- Visa for a third country or region；
- A fully completed Arrival/Departure Card (including name, nationality, passport no., visa no., issuance place, flight no., purpose of visit, date of birth, gender)；
- An onward ticket within 144 hours with confirmed seat is needed.
办理流程
Procedures
抵达机场后，在边检处找到144小时过境免签窗口出示上述材料递交申请。边检人员会在护照上盖章，标明你必须离境的日期。如果你有中国签证但是此次不想使用，请明确告知。
Upon arrival, find the 144-hour visa-free counter at the immigration inspection to apply for the stay permit, which will be stamped in your passport indicating the maximum length of stay. Remember to tell the officer if you have a visa for China but don't want to use it this time.
Inform the airlines when boarding → Fill an Arrival / Departure Card → Apply the 144-hour permit → Claim the luggage and go through the custom → Leave airport.
