2019亚洲大学排行榜出炉：清华大学首次登顶

日前，2019年英国泰晤士高等教育亚洲大学排名发布，清华大学超越此前三次蝉联榜首的新加坡国立大学名列亚洲第一，这也是中国高校首次登上该排行榜榜首。

China's Tsinghua University claimed the number one spot in the Times Higher Education (THE)'s Asia University Rankings 2019, becoming the first university on the Chinese mainland to top the list.

清华大学将新加坡国立大学挤下榜首，后者自2016年以来一直占据第一名，目前退居第二。清华大学排名进一步上升得益于其在教学环境、论文引用影响力和国际前景等方面的分数大幅提高。

Tsinghua University knocked National University of Singapore off the top, which has held onto the number one ranking since 2016 and has now dropped to second place. Tsinghua University's move further up the list was due to a large boost in the scores for teaching environment, citation impact and international outlook.

除了清华大学，还有许多中国高校也榜上有名。

《泰晤士报高等教育》指出，中国共有72所大学上榜，高于去年的63所，排名前100的26所大学中有16所的排名与此前持平、上升或首次上榜。

Times Higher Education noted that overall, 72 Chinese universities feature in the ranking, up from 63 last year, and 16 of its 26 institutions in the top 100 hold steady, rise or enter the list for the first time.

其中，中国科学技术大学、浙江大学、武汉大学等大学保持了原有排名或排名有所上升；而北京大学、复旦大学等排名有所下降。

北京大学的排名下降了两位，降至亚洲第5位。这是由于其研究收入和行业收入得分下降所致。

Peking University dropped two places to 5th, which is attributed to declines in its research income and industry income scores.

此外，中国香港也有三所高校跻身前十。

香港科技大学排名最靠前，它从去年的第5位跃升至第3位，首次领先于香港其他高校。

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology has fared well in the standings, jumping from 5th last year to 3rd and leading the special administrative region of China for the first time.

《泰晤士报高等教育》表示，这是因为其行业收入和国际前景评分有所提高。

Times Higher Education said this is due to an improvement in its industry income and international outlook scores.

香港大学仍然排名第四，香港中文大学排名第七。

The University of Hong Kong remains in 4th position while the Chinese University of Hong Kong is in 7th place.

哈佛大学中国研究教授威廉·柯比（William Kirby）对泰晤士高等教育说，他“并不惊讶于中国的大学在全球排名迅速上升”（ "not surprised at the rise of Chinese universities in global rankings"）。

他指出：“今天没有哪个国家投入到高等教育中的资源比中国更多了，中国的教育体系也是世界上发展最快的高等教育体系——无论是质量上，还是数量上”。

He noted that "today, no country puts more resources into higher education than China, which is home to the fastest growing system of higher education in the world — in quality as well as quantity".

他认为，鉴于清华在工程和应用科学方面的优势，以及在人文和社会科学方面的项目发展，“清华表现得特别好也就不足为奇了”。

He pointed out that given its strengths in engineering and applied sciences and its development of programs in the humanities and social sciences, "it is also not surprising that Tsinghua is doing particularly well".

近年来，中国持续推进高等教育改革，提升高等教育水平。

2017年，教育部、财政部、国家发展改革委联合印发了《统筹推进世界一流大学和一流学科建设实施办法（暂行）》，提出到2020年，若干所大学和一批学科进入世界一流行列，若干学科进入世界一流学科前列；到本世纪中叶，一流大学和一流学科的数量和实力进入世界前列，基本建成高等教育强国。

2017年，中国列出了42所目标达到世界一流水平的大学，以推动中国成为国际高等教育强国。

In 2017, China listed 42 universities it wanted to achieve world-class status in a bid to make China an international higher education power.

香港大学教育学院教授、高等教育比较社会学专家波斯蒂格里昂表示：中国“世界一流大学”数量的不断增加，也体现出“一种可以与‘一带一路’倡议国家的其他领先研究型大学进行多元化合作的巨大潜力”。

Gerry Postiglione, professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong and an expert in the comparative sociology of Asian higher education, said that China's rising number of "World Class Universities" represents "a potential long-term asset for engaging with the significant diversity of other leading research universities located in countries encompassed by the Belt and Road Initiative".

泰晤士高等教育世界大学排名（Times Higher Education World University Ranking），是由英国《泰晤士高等教育》（Times Higher Education，简称THE）发布的世界大学排名，与QS世界大学排名、USNews世界大学排名、ARWU世界大学学术排名被公认为四大权威大学世界排名。

此次公布的泰晤士高等教育亚洲大学排名采用五个方面的绩效指标来评判大学，包括教学（学习环境）、研究（数量、收入和声誉）、引文（研究影响）、国际视野（员工、学生和研究）和行业收入（知识转移）。
