新加坡AEIS考试专项训练，小五面积题，请在45分钟内完成

新加坡的AEIS考试，又叫国际学生统一入学考试（Admissions Exercise for International Students），是由新加坡教育部专为有意申请就读新加坡政府中、小学的国际学生统一组织、安排的入学考试，考试时间为9/10月。

小留学生们来新加坡留学有两条路线可走，一是读国际学校，将来申请欧美澳新等国的大学；二是读政府学校，在本地就读中小学，将来申请新加坡的国大和南洋理工机会会更多些。

9月份考试，现在该倒计时了，建议这个阶段要按专题进行强化训练了。今天的训练内容是面积计算，小五水平，请同学们在45分钟内完成。鼓励同学们直接阅读英文试题，这次不给中文翻译了[机智]。

1. Rafael has three squares. The first square has a side length of 2 cm. The second square has a side length of 4 cm and its vertex is placed in the center of the first square. The last square has side length 6 cm and its vertex is placed in the center of the second square, as shown in the picture. What is the area of the figure?

2. A sheet of paper is in the form of a rectangle ABCD in which AB = 40 cm, and BC = 28 cm. A semicirclular portion with BC as diameter is cut off. Find the area of the remaining paper.

3. Find the area of the shaded region in the figure, if ABCD is a square of side 14 cm and APD and BPC are semi-circles.

4. Find the area of the shaded region of the following figure, if the diameter of the circle with centre O is 28 cm and AQ=AB/4.

5. PQRS is a square land of side 28 m. Two semi-circular grass are to be made on two of its opposite sides as shown in the figure. How much area will be left uncovered?

6. In the given figure, O is the centre of a circular arc and AOB is a straight line. Find the perimeter of the shaded region.
