JIANGXIAOBAI Scores 20 Medals in One Fell Swoop
On November 7, 2019, the 2019 HKIWSC (Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition) award ceremony was held in Hong Kong. On the official competition website, the winners were announced. JIANGXIAOBAI won a total of 20 medals, including the trophy for Best Chinese Spirit, and validated its role as dark horse. Just in 2019, JIANGXIAOBAI has already won 37 medals at international competitions.

The HKIWSC
The HKIWSC enjoys top reputation in Asia and is the voice of the Asian alcohol industry. Different from IWSC, HKIWSC mainly focuses on Asian wine and spirits brands. It also attracts many European and American brands that are interested in entering the Asian market. The judges are world-renowned wine and spirits experts from Asia, aiming to select international brands and products for Asian consumers and the industry. This year, HKIWSC had a total of about 1,700 products from 33 countries. The number of Chinese liquor brands increased by 44% compared with last year. This shows the trend of Chinese baijiu emerging in the international scene.
Since 2017, JIANGXIAOBAI has participated in the HKIWSC for three consecutive years. This year, Lvxi Jiangjin Shaojiu Craft produced by Jiangxi Baijiu Winery Co., Ltd. won the “Best Chinese Spirits” and Gold Awards. Both awards express the highest honors of the HKIWSC.
The Awards
The awards won by JIANGXIAOBAI are not only high in number, but also come with the sheen of gold. For the Chinese brand, it is both unexpected and plausible at the same time to achieve such impressive results.
It is unexpected, because JIANGXIAOBAI is still a newcomer in the Chinese liquor market. In comparison to the established brands of the same category, the young brand is still filling a fairly small niche. In this competition, JIANGXIAOBAI surpassed not only their own expectations, but put their products on the radar for their competition.
On the other hand, in recent years, JIANGXIAOBAI has put much effort into assembling a professional team. The brand slogan “Renaissance of the Old Flavor” pushes them to constantly develop new products for different consumption scenarios and consumers. To break into major overseas markets, extensive use of baijiu cocktails has been made.
In the “Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Exhibition” held concurrently with the HKIWSC Awards Ceremony, JIANGXIAOBAI’s booth was constantly surrounded by visitors. JIANGXIAOBAI invited scene bartenders from Hong Kong to mix unique cocktails on the spot. People from all over the world could experience a new flavor of liquor. In their words, “JIANGXIAOBAI is a fresh flavor on the international stage.” Quality exotic flavors have won the recognition of international competitions, and in this light, the success seems plausible.
2019 is JIANGXIAOBAI’s third year in the international market. Currently, the brand’s sorghum liquors are available in 24 countries and regions around the world. Now, with the international recognition in form of 20 medals from HKIWSC 2019, JIANGXIAOBAI hopes to expand its overseas presence even further.
