Produced by Hong Kong collectible label, BigBoysToys, in collaboration with the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, “Lunar Guardians” is an outdoor installation that pays homage to the ancient Chinese art of lion dance. Featuring two lion dance-inspired sculptures designed in a contemporary “mecha” anime style, this installation juxtaposes tradition with modernity, and encourages conversations about the significance and evolution of traditions in our rapidly changing world. This installation will be on display on the lawn of the memorial hall from 4 January until 9 February 2020.Wan Qing Festival of Spring 2020Chinese knot weaving Wan Qing Festival of Spring 2020Evening concert Wan Qing Festival of Spring 2020Special exhibition guided tourWan Qing Festival of Spring 2020Festival of Spring prosperity tossWan Qing Festival of Spring 2020Festive chinese drum workshopWan Qing Festival of Spring 2020Festive fan origamiWan Qing Festival of Spring 2020Permanent galleries guided tourDate: 1 – 2 February 2020Time: 10.00am – 9.00pm Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial HallAdmission is free. For more information, please clickRead more. Keywords: lion-dance Nanyang-memorial-hall Wan-Qing-festival Chinese paintingRelated Link:
