SOTE celebrates the artistic growth of art students.
Salt of the Earth is Visual Arts Centre’s first students art exhibition organised by Visual Arts Centre as a celebration of the artistic growth and development of our art students. Many art students came to Visual Arts Centre as beginners with a strong interest in art and have improved significantly at the Art Studio.

The exhibition theme – Salt of the Earth was first revealed in late 2018, as an open call for VAC art students to create original artworks based on their own interpretation of the theme. Salt of the Earth seeks to celebrate the fundamental goodness of life and students were encouraged to freely express themselves and share their perspectives and art. Over a year of preparations, drawing… painting… and the ongoing relentless process of creating art, students have continually refined their ideas and improved on their artworks to present their best works for the exhibition. More than eighty art students of age five to eighty two have participated in the exhibition. Their personal development in art and wonderful art creations are true to their persevering faith and strong personal determination to hone their craft!

This exhibition also seeks to raise funds for a charity organisation close to our hearts – Very Special Arts – which is a charity organisation that supports and grooms artists with disabilities. 50% of the proceeds of the exhibition will be given to VSA, while 50% of the proceeds will go to art students for their hardwork and to cover any framing costs incurred.Visual Arts SOTE Exhibition Charity Students Welcome all the art lovers to come and visit our exhibition!
