SINGAPORE – INDEED TO JOIN FORCES WITH JOBS SITE MYCAREERSFUTURE TO BOOST JOB LISTINGS

(Feb.27, 2019, /staffingindustry.com/)MyCareersFuture, a state-run job portal in Singapore, announced that it has reached an agreement with jobs site Indeed to increase the number of job postings on MyCareersFuture.

The number of postings on MyCareersFuture will increase to more than 35,000 by June, from a monthly average now of 23,000.

In January, MyCareersFuture announced that jobseekers will be able to access listings on other sites, including Google, LinkedIn, JobsCentral and Jooble.

MyCareersFuture.sg was developed by Workforce Singapore and GovTech, with a plan to phase out the National Jobs Bank for job-seekers and employers. So far MyCareersFuture.sg has only been launched for jobseekers, while an interface for employers is to be rolled out by June 2019.

The site saw an average of 690,000 visitors per month over the last six months, according to SimilarWeb.

MyCareersFuture is built on machine-learning technology, and Workforce Singapore is exploring more technology to strengthen its job matching.

Tan Choon Shian, Workforce Singapore CEO told AIM Group that Workforce Singapore is collaborating with Netherlands-based software company WCC to test new technology to rank and recommend candidates to employers. Singapore-based AI firm JobTech is also collaborating with Workforce to develop advanced skills-matching technology, as well as investigating job mismatches and missed matches in key growth sectors like banking and finance, and infocomm technology.

“Such collaborations between the public and private sectors allow us to create innovative solutions to address the needs of job-seekers and employers, and bridge the gaps by effectively connecting them,” Shian said.
