Music For A Cause (MFAC) returns for its fifth and final edition on May 28 and 29 on Facebook Live. But this time, it goes live online. Singapore’s first and only altruistic music festival is known for bringing homegrown musicians together while highlighting social causes and supporting local non-for-profit organisations.
MFAC aims to support local musicians, hawkers, and frontline workers who are affected by the current global situation with FundAGig, FundAHawker, and HawkersXFrontliners. FundAGig encourages musicians to stream their gigs live, in which they will be remunerated with a stipend of $100 to 300 per livestream.
But of course, what’s MFAC without the music? The sonically pleasing bill sees the all-killer, no-filler return of 12 MFAC alumni including the dynamic duo Jack and Rai, no-instruments-attached MICapella, pop-rockers 53A, bedroom pop darling Shye, and singer-songwriter Charlie Lim.
On top of enjoying their intimate performances, the home audience can say hello and interact with their favourite music acts through the virtual meet-and-greet.
Show some love by tuning into the virtual shindig which takes place over two sessions each day: 4pm to 6.15pm and 7pm to 9.15pm.
