There’s a new attraction on Siloso Beach, but fret not if you don’t have a bikini bod — all you’ll need is lots of memory space on your phone for all the pictures and videos you’ll be taking. Sentosa’s latest attraction is Magical Shores at Siloso, an immersive and interactive light and sound show happening every night on the 400m stretch of beach. The illuminating experience unfurls every night in 15-minute cycles from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.What exactly is it?The Magical Shores is a nightly spectacle on Siloso Beach that will feature interactive digital projections, brilliant light art, and even a little fog, we hear. Think light art exhibitions like Future World at the ArtScience Museum, but with sand under your feet and the soothing sounds of the sea in the background. It all seems a little trippy, somewhat ethereal, and all sorts of Instagrammable. You get to make sand art. Sort of.There are also two interactive areas for visitors to interact with the light art on the sand, which are inspired by the flow of water and is meant to mimic how marine creatures respond to movement. No man is an isletOne of the four segments will see the two islets bathed in lights and zhuzhed with dreamy fog that melds with the lights, water and beach. How to get thereGet yourself to Beach Station on Sentosa, and either walk or hop on a free beach shuttle that will bring you to Magical Shores at Siloso. There are a few ways to get to Beach Station. Take a Grab ride and get $5 off your fare with the code ‘SentosaSpring’ from Jan 23 to Feb 9 (code is valid until 8pm daily; limited redemptions available). Those up for a bit of exercise can walk in to Sentosa for free, and then hop on a free ride on either the Sentosa Express or Beach Shuttle to Beach Station. For something quicker, hop on the Sentosa Express — take it from VivoCity Level 3 (fares apply) — or take bus 123 and alight at Beach Station (only usual bus fares apply, no admission fee charged). If you’re driving in, there’s a $2 charge after 5pm, and park at Beach Station.Magical Shores runs daily from 7.30pm to 10.30pm at Siloso Beach, Sentosa.
