中国工商银行新加坡分行成功发行12.5亿元离岸人民币债券

创本年度单笔金额最大狮城债发行

新加坡-2018年10月23日-中国工商银行股份有限公司(下称“工商银行”)新加坡分行成功发行3年期离岸人民币债券(下称“本债券”),该债券发行总额为12.5亿元人民币,已于2018年10月23日在新加坡交易所挂牌注册。工商银行、星展银行、玉山银行(香港)、汇丰银行、渣打银行及永丰金证券(亚洲)为本次发行的联席主承销商及联席簿记管理人。

本债券是本年度单笔发行金额最大的狮城债,其发行利率明显优于同期二级市场价格。该债券获得多个国家和地区的银行、基金、保险公司以及私人银行客户的超额认购,体现出国际市场对中国工商银行以及中国经济的信心与肯定。

ICBC Singapore Branch Issued 1.25 Billion RMB Worth of Offshore RMB Bonds on the Singapore Stock Exchange

– The largest single-tranche Lion City Bonds in Singapore this year

SINGAPORE, 23 October 2018 – The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China(“ICBC”), Singapore Branch  launched a 3-year 1.25 billion RMB bond (“the issue”)  on the 23 Oct 2018.   The issue will be listed on the Singapore Exchange (“SGX”). ICBC, Development Bank of Singapore, E.SUN Commercial Bank (Hong Kong), Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation, Standard Chartered Bank and SinoPac Securities (Asia) are the joint underwriters and bookrunners for the issue.

The issue is the largest single tranche Lion City Bond in Singapore for 2018. The issue was priced inside the curve with other comparables in the secondary markets.  Upon the deal announcement, the order book was soon oversubscribed with interests from financial institutions, fund managers, insurance companies and private banks in the region; reflecting a strong market confidence towards China economy as well as ICBC.

“ICBC Singapore is the first RMB clearing bank outside Greater China authorized by the People’s Bank of China, and it is also ICBC’s offshore RMB clearing center with the highest RMB clearing volume. The issue demonstrated the continued confidence of international investors in the China’s economic outlook,” said Mr. Zhou Aimin, Deputy General Manager of ICBC Singapore. “It also shows the internationalization of the RMB is on a steady trajectory.
