China has removed all remaining counties from the country's poverty list, as Guizhou province announced on Monday that its last nine poverty-stricken counties had officially eliminated poverty。

China has set a goal to eradicate absolute poverty by the end of this year.

At the end of last year, 52 counties in the northwest, southwest and south of the country remained on the poverty list.

The nine counties were the last group on the country's list of 832 impoverished counties that had been identified in 2014 by the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development.
截至去年年底，我国西北部、西南部和南部的52个县仍在贫困县名单上。
The average annual net income of impoverished people in these nine counties has risen to 11,487 yuan, well above the 4,000-yuan national poverty line set this year, according to Li Jian, head of the provincial poverty-alleviation office.

China has been ranked second in the world in terms of internet development, after the US, and has steadily maintained its upward trajectory, a new report said on Monday. The report was released during this year's World Internet Conference in Wuzhen, East China’s Zhejiang province.
11月23日，浙江乌镇举行的世界互联网大会上发布的一份报告显示，中国的互联网发展水平在全世界排名第二，仅次于美国，而且正在稳步提升。
According to the latest Global Internet Development Index, the ranking was based on six parameters: infrastructure, innovation capacity, industrial development, internet application, cybersecurity, and cyberspace governance.
2020年世界互联网发展指数排名是基于对以下6个方面的综合评估：信息基础设施、创新能力、产业发展、互联网应用、网络安全和网络治理。
China placed second, with Germany, the UK and Singapore in the top five.
排名前五的还有德国、英国和新加坡。
According to the report, China has made steady advancements in internet infrastructure construction, especially in mobile infrastructure and application infrastructure.
报告指出，中国的互联网基础设施建设稳步推进，尤其在移动基础设施和应用基础设施方面取得了一定成就。

The US General Services Administration (GSA) on Monday told Joe Biden it is ready to begin the formal presidential transition process for him.

GSA Administrator Emily Murphy told Biden in a letter that she was prepared to make "post-election resources and services available" for Biden's transition to the White House, stressing that despite "recent developments involving legal challenges and certifications of election results," she made her decision "independently, based on the law and available facts."
