新加坡留学丨中学详细分类介绍

众所周知,新加坡实行分流教育

综合课程(IP)

新加坡中学的综合课程(IP)重点针对那些学习能力强的学生,为他们提供六年的中学与初级学院直通车计划。

学校将为该计划下的学生提供广泛、多元的学习经历。新加坡中学的直通车综合课程旨在发掘学生在学术课程以外的潜能。

修读综合课程(IP)的学生最终需要参加剑桥普通教育证书 (高级水准) 或其他专业文凭的考试。开办直通车综合课程的学校一般只招收中一年级的学生,特殊情况下,也会招收适合修读这项课程的中三学生。

高才教育课程

新加坡小学至中学阶段都设有高才教育计划,为那些表现优异的学生提供深广课程。

中学阶段,如果孩子仍旧在天资方面发展得比同龄的学生快,他可以在开办综合课程的学校修读高才教育课程(SBGE)。

政府学校

(government school)

学校开销由教育部直接负责,教师由教育部分配,课程需要完全跟着教育部的方案。

政府学校由教育部直接管理,由校长代为执行俗称邻里学校,新加坡绝大部分学校是政府学校(学校名字里一般带地名)。

政府资助学校

(government-aided school)

管理方面和政府学校差不多。但是拨款较多,于学生受益。

自治学校

(autonomous school)

拨款数额大,学校有权力聘老师,但也必须接受教育部的教师分配。内部管理由校长负责,基本上就是教育部出钱,信任校长管。

自主学校

(independent school)

这些都是新加坡顶尖的学校,如齐名的华中与莱佛士,都属于自主学校。能进自主学校的学生,学习奋斗已经完成了一半,世界顶尖大学已在眼前。

内部管理全权交予校长,校长有很大的自主招生权力,教师全由学校自行聘任。拨款最大,学校另外收学费,教学质量和对学生的栽培是最好的。

如何进入新加坡公立中学?

AEIS考试是新加坡针对国际考生的一个入学考试( Admissions Exercise for International Students)由新加坡教育部专为有意申请就读新加坡政府中、小学的国际学生统一组织、安排的入学考试。

未能在当年10月参加新加坡政府中小学国际学生统一入学考试(AEIS)的国际学生,可以申请报名参加明年度新加坡政府中小学国际学生统一入学考试 – 补充考试(S-AEIS)。

从2012年开始,新加坡教育部(Ministry of Education)会在每年2月或3月举办一次新加坡政府中小学国际学生统一入学考试 – 补充考试(S-AEIS)。
